Buildmax Ltd is a South Africa-based company, which is a diversified supplier of opencast mining services and bulk earthworks, as well as construction materials to the mining and construction industries. The Company operates through two business units: Equipment and Services and Construction Materials. Equipment and Services segment services opencast mining projects from greenfields stripping to mine closure and rehabilitation, as well as offers bulk earthworks for civil engineering projects, including roads, terraces, dams, bulk excavations, pipelines and large scale building and golf courses. Construction Materials houses sand quarry operations, aggregate distributors and cement brick and block manufacturers. The Company acquired Diesel Power Open Cast Mining (Pty) Limited (Diesel Power) on February 26, 2008. Diesel Power is an independent opencast mining and earthmoving contractor. The Company also acquired Buildco group of companies (Buildco) in December 2007.
