Distribution and Warehousing Network Limited (Dawn) is engaged in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution of hardware, sanitaryware, plumbing, kitchen, engineering and civil products. The Company operates in three divisions: trading, manufacturing and support services. The trading segment include trading of hardware, sanitary ware, plumbing, kitchen, engineering and civil products. The manufacturing segment includes manufacturing of taps, bathroomware, piping systems, valves and related accessories. The support services segment provides support services, such as warehousing, distribution and administration. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2008 (fiscal 2008), Dawn distributed approximately 30,000 products sourced through more than 2 500 suppliers to over 12 000 customers in the infrastructure, building and plumbing sectors. The wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company include Almar Aluminium (Proprietary) Limited and Almar Marketing (Proprietary) Limited.
