Exxaro Resources Ltd. (Exxaro) is a South Africa-based mining company. It is focused on extracting and processing a range of minerals and metals, including coal, mineral sands, base metals, and selected industrial minerals. Exxaro also holds a 20% interest in Sishen Iron Ore Company (Pty) Limited, which extracts and processes iron ore. The Company operates in four segments: coal, mineral sands, base materials and industrial minerals, and iron ore. On April 11, 2008, the Company acquired 76% of Exxaro Madencilik Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. On July 1, 2008, the Company acquired Skyprops 112 (Pty) Limited. On October 1, 2008, it acquired Namakwa Sands operations.
